General Retention Principles

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • Fulfilling our contractual obligations
  • Meeting legal requirements
  • Protecting our legitimate interests
  • Respecting your rights and preferences

Specific Retention Periods

Different types of data are retained for different periods:

4.1.1 Account Data

  • Active accounts: Retained while account is active
  • Inactive accounts: Up to 2 years after last activity
  • Deleted accounts: Up to 30 days after deletion request
  • Account history: Up to 5 years for legal compliance

4.1.2 Transaction Data

  • Payment records: 7 years for tax purposes
  • Transaction history: 5 years for business records
  • Invoice data: 10 years for legal compliance
  • Subscription records: 3 years after cancellation

4.1.3 Usage Data

  • Analytics data: 26 months
  • Log files: 12 months
  • Performance metrics: 24 months
  • User preferences: Until account deletion

Data Deletion

When data reaches the end of its retention period, we ensure secure deletion through:

  • Permanent deletion from active databases
  • Secure overwriting of backup data
  • Removal from third-party systems
  • Verification of complete deletion

Data Archiving

Some data may be archived for specific purposes:

  • Legal compliance requirements
  • Historical record keeping
  • Audit purposes
  • Research and analysis
